We now live in a world of high technology where life style has changed to a totally different way compared to the past. People have less direct communication because they depend most on tech products to communicate like mobile phone, laptop, etc.
Never forget that we are not alone, but there are still many people around us. If you give yourself a deep thought, you probably will realize that human relation has become looser and looser. Neighbors don't really know each other very well, especially in urban area. In suburban area where people still attach to some traditional custom, this relation still remains.
We need to start the care to others if we want to get along well with them, live in harmony with them. However, this is not easy. To start treating others well, we should start from our family. Many people don't really treat their family members well. Sometimes they treat outsiders even better. The Chinese people have a saying like this:
"Cultivate yourself, manage the family, then the country, and bring peace to the world"

Contentment is the real happiness

There many people out there keep on saying not enough earnings for life. In fact, when daily necessities can be fulfilled, that should be enough for us to call happy. People keep on searching for more money and neglect many things in their life, like family relationship, caring friends around, until their spiritual life. Looking for the "never enough money" seems to be a kind of modern people "painful" lifestyle. Every minute, every second they keep on thinking of earning more. Some use "for family's sake" as reason. But they don't really know when they have fulfilled the family financial side, they should pay more attention to the relationship in family then.
Thinking of satisfying the greed will only bring more suffering. "Money" for life is only a part of the whole "scene" of life. There are many important aspect of life we should fulfill. Not only about money, but almost greed against anything, especially material life. One who can subdue the greed is great. And contentment is the real happiness.
The world has enough for everyone but couldn't enough to satisfy one man's greed.

Notice the door of happiness
Life is full of happiness and sadness. It's a matter of one's perspective that determine one's happiness. It's also a matter of point of view or the mind that look at the happiness. If you have ever read one of the stories in my blog about a young man who found a horse, you'll probably read something similar in the following posting.
We know that we can't avoid unhappiness from occuring in our lives. But anyway, if we can look at the other side of unhappiness but not the unhappiness itself, we'll feel happier. Like someone who has been scolded. If he keeps on looking at the "scolded image", he will live in unhappiness longer. But if he can treat the "scolds" as a treatment of care from someone or a chance to learn from mistakes, he'll feel happier and perhaps will not repeat the same mistake again.
There are many people who become successful people after they have seen at the brighter sides of a problem. When they become cheerful in this way, they found that on the other side of this problem, there were another happiness and joy awaiting. They could be very poor on one side. If they blame the God for this, they'll never find happiness. But when they see a brighter side of their lives, like they have caring parents, or they are luckier than those unlucky people, they would realize the happiness within. Some people will also wake up from their unhappiness and start working for their happiness. When they have reached it, they would share their happiness.
Anyway, thinking about unhappiness of the past is meaning, cause you can't change it. Thinking of the future without any present action is also a wishful thinking. The most important is to always look at the brighter side of life, and work hard for the happiness of ourselves and others. In this way, we'll become happier in daily life. Remember the quote by Helen Keller.
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."

Follow your religious teachings and achieve inner peace
Every religion in the world teaches people to do good. Happiness is everyone wishes for. But happiness is not the achievement of material satisfaction but also the achievement of spiritual peace.
Some people search for inner peace by learning meditation. It's a good way of learning to be relax. Others go to their places of worship or religious ceremony. No matter what religious teachings they follow, to put the teachings in daily life is really necessary.
Nowadays, we live in a world of maximum complexity. If one doesn't depend on religious teachings, he/she slowly go astray. The heart will become vexed or not in peace.
After a long day work, study or any activities, the mind should be given something soothing. Life is short. Cherish your days and find inner peace within your religious teachings.

Home Sweet Home
When I was a child, I used to collect sticker. I remember that I had a sticker with "Home Sweet Home" printed on a red background with an apple or strawberry picture next to it.
Well, I am not going to tell you about my stickers, but I would like to tell something about the words "Home Sweet Home".
Chinese people have a saying, "When parents are around, don't travel far". The meaning could be deep, but I think this refers to the ancient Chinese people life principle of putting filial piety above career and other aspect of success.
Happiness doesn't come easy. It's not nature, but nurture. I mean the real happiness in the family comes from nurturing the life with the teaching of filial piety as the basic lesson for every family member since childhood.
Nowadays, people don't cherish family more than career, money and position. Everyone works hard searching for success outside the family, and as a result we see many broken family. Unlike those ancient Chinese people who put family education as their main education.
"To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right." ~ Confucious

Smile is your courtesy language
Do you have friends who seldom smile to you when you meet? Well, don't blame them for not smiling to you. Try to smile first at them. If you do this, they will probably smile at you. If they don't, try again next time. Smiling will make your life happier and people around you will find that you are friendly. This is important when you want to pass your day whether at work or at home. If you put on a gloomy face, people around you will get far from you. You'll be lonely all time. Sometimes, you don't have to say anything if you don't know what to say, but give a warm smile will be a good response to others.
My First Post
Hello, I would like to share my opinion about daily happiness. Actually, you can find happiness in every little thing in your life. Of course, no one wants to be unhappy. Life is unpredictable, but death is. What matters is not to brood over these unhappiness, but how to live happily.
